Custom Trophies
Historically, custom trophies were handmade with attention to their unique details. Harkening back to the original Olympics in Greece – olive branches were carefully intertwined to form a crown for the victor. The etymology of “trophy” has its roots in the 16th century from the French word for “prize of war” – trophée.
The middle ages evolved the concept of a chalice or loving cup (with two handles) that has stuck with us to this day – think America’s Cup (sailing), Stanley Cup (hockey), Davis Cup (tennis), Lombardi (football), etc.
Initially the spoils of a bloody battle, trophies today have progressed to where we watch the Oscars, Emmys, Grammys and the FIFA World Cup series where custom trophies are awarded to the victors in more peaceable forms of competition.
Trophies, Awards & Medals at Affordable Prices
Even when trophies are customized with engravings, inscriptions and unique design details, they do not need to be overly expensive. Some continue to be hand engraved, while others can be laser-engraved, a more efficient and less time-consuming process, yielding remarkable results.
TPS does not generally charge extra for engraving or putting your personalized message on a trophy or other award. If there is a need for special artwork, photo sublimation or creating a logo from scratch, there likely will be an extra cost.
Extremely lifelike resin trophies are actually not as expensive as you might think and make for an amazing presentation. Acrylics use light, color and laser-etching to maximum effect.
Bottom line – if you have a tight budget, we’ve got something for you. If you want to go over the top, as in crystal or real silver chalices handmade and imported from Italy – we can do that too!
Championship Trophies
Championship trophies can be made from almost anything – particularly items or images that impart special meaning from the giver to the recipient. In sports multiple trophies can be awarded for coming in 1st, 2nd or 3rd place or sometimes in sets, like the Kentucky Derby, where each member of the winning team gets a separate, custom trophy.
